A Piano At Night is a collaboration between HPBC Records and the saxophonist and composer Lara Jones. Recorded during a late-night session at Eiger Studios in Leeds, the performance combined a solo-piano performance with visuals to create an immersive sensory experience.
"I wrote this music between the hours of 1am-3am a few years ago. I was hardly sleeping at the time and would go to the rehearsal rooms at Leeds College of Music to play the piano, improvising in a darkened room with the city lights coming through the window..."

Astonishing! I love watching this band live. They're brave enough to take a thing and go with it. Their best work is blistering and found here. Megan's guitar work is wonderfully nasty, Jemma conjures electrifying beats and atmospheres, and Lara's sax laments, rejoices, attacks. This album captures the unique qualities of their sound, contrasting and combining melancholic space pieces with aggressive, industrial, face-melting stomps. martin corey
